When did you start CrossFit?
I completed the ON-RAMP in Dec 2013 after cyber stalking Square One (Full Metal) CrossFit for 2 years.

What was your first workout?
The first white board photo on my phone is Fight Gone Bad. It was terrible and amazing all at the same time.

What is your favourite movement?
HSPU’s. I enjoy being upside down. I need to join the circus.

If you could go on a date with any crossfitter, who would it be and why?
Despite my massive girl crush on Christmas Abbott, I have no desire to train with her or any other famous crossfitter. [Insert cheesy cliché here] I already train with all of the crossfitters that I want to train with. From amazing coaches to kick-ass moms; the wide-eyed newbies to the cool and confident veterans; the gals in their 20’s to the grandmas and grandpas and everyone else in between. It’s the daily interactions that have the most impact on me. Celebrity crossfitters need not apply.

Why do you still CrossFit?
I still CrossFit because of my ridiculous obsession with wanting a larger derriere. Just kidding! OK, I’m only half kidding… I want Sir Mix-a-Lot to at least take a double-take! But, more importantly, I want to be healthy, I want to set a good example for my daughter and I don’t want to die of a preventable disease because my head was up my ass.

Any advice you’d give to someone new trying out CrossFit?
Don’t worry about what the person next to you is doing if it makes you feel badly about yourself. CrossFit is tough and you seriously kick ass just for showing up. You will get stronger as the weeks go on and become a beast in your own right. Worry about what the person next to you is doing if it motivates you in a positive way – maybe to move a little faster or push a little harder. There’s nothing wrong with healthy competition. Don’t forget to mobilize every day. It will save you a world of pain. Keep calm and WOD on! Or, if you’re anything like me… Don’t keep calm, freak out, have heart palpitations and 3 nervous pees and then WOD on!
